People are more likely to link to you if you make it easy for them, especially in less web-savvy niches.
Here are three ways you can make things easy for people:
- Create HTML snippets (for infographics and embeddable content)
- Create a “link to us” page
- Use a copy/paste link plugin (more research required here)
HTML snippets allow people to embed content on their own sites without much effort.
It’s basically a pre-made piece of code that handles the embedding of the content, but also links back to the original source.

When it comes to copy/paste protection, you can use this plugin to add it (if you’re using WordPress):

Basically, whenever anyone tries to copy/paste your content, it’ll display a warning and also append the copied content with a link back to the original source (i.e. your site).
